Lamb visits Tyree Ag to follow up on 2017 wildfire

Last March, massive wildfires ravaged the countryside in Kansas, Oklahoma, and Texas. The fires caused millions in damage to farmers and ranchers' herds and their land. Although the only damage our Tyree Ag location received was the melting of our fence in front of our newly built office and warehouse, many of our employees and customers were directly affected and our hearts went out to them.

A year ago, Oklahoma Lieutenant Governor, Todd Lamb, visited Tyree Ag and the area to visit with those affected. Tyree Ag was the remote location for hay [and other helpful items] donations and distribution. See Tom Fanning's video here

Today Republican gubernatorial candidate, Todd Lamb, returned to Laverne to do a follow-up tour and to once again meet with some of the farmers and ranchers affected. In attendance were about 20-25 people from the area. They were able to speak and give Lamb an update on how their recovery efforts were going and to voice their opinion on how they felt the state responded to the disaster.

Last year, Tyree Ag initiated a matching fund campaign to help farmers and ranchers financially. Learn more here.

The National Weather Service in Dodge City has issued a Fire Weather Watch for much of southwest Kansas for wind and low relative humidity, which is in effect over the weekend.
