Tyree Ag Summer Intern - Clint Jenks

In partnering with United Suppliers, Tyree Ag is hosting a collegiate intern this summer in a structured program with the hopes of creating a hands-on educational opportunity for those interested in crop production.

With our internship application period only being open for a short period in February and March of this year, we were afraid we wouldn't get much interest in our new program. Fortunately to our surprise, we had several interested applicants who met the qualifications we were looking for. After the interview process, Oklahoma State University student, Clint Jenks, accepted the positions and plans were quickly made for his arrival in May. Clint began at Tyree Ag on Monday, May 9th and will be with us at Tyree Ag until early August. Clint will work rotating Tyree Ag departments throughout the summer to insure he fully learns the aspect of Tyree Ag and our dedication to customer service. He will attend two trainings in York, Nebraska hosted by United Suppliers. At the end of the internship, Clint will give a short presentation about his experience at Tyree Ag and we hope to share clips from that with our followers when the time comes!

Clint will be a sophomore at Oklahoma State this fall majoring in Plant and Soil Sciences. His future plans are to seek a career in an agronomy related field. Clint grew up on a cattle ranch and has a life-long love for agriculture including the outdoors and hunting. Clint's father is a pilot for the Oklahoma Highway Patrol and hopes to continue to spend time in the aviation industry by working towards his private pilot license soon. While attending Colcord High School, Clint participated in FFA, leadership enhancement programs, judging teams, livestock fitting, and church activities.

We hope our customers get the chance to meet and interact with Clint at some point, as he has a great passion for agriculture and for learning the ropes at Tyree Ag! Good luck Clint!
